Seminar with Zenki Dillo Roshi, October 5-7, 2018

“Zen Mind, Open Mind – The Practice of Making Space”

A Weekend Seminar at Dharma Sangha Boulder/Briar Rose B&B

Seminars led by Zenki Christian Dillo Roshi are an opportunity for new and experienced students to explore teachings of Zen Buddhism together. The topic for each seminar is developed through informal Dharma talks, question and answer, open discussion, and small groups. The schedule includes morning and evening Zazen.

Zenki Roshi teaches programs at the Crestone Mountain Zen Center and offers a cycle of monthly Dharma Weekends, as well as seminars such as this, in Boulder each year. The Boulder Zen Center can only accommodate a limited number of people, and these seminars have sold out early.

The Boulder seminars begin with dinner on Friday evening at 6:00, and they end after lunch on Sunday around 2:00, though participants are encouraged to stay for a Sangha meeting at 2:30. (All are welcome and encouraged to come to the open Sangha meeting, whether or not you attended the seminar.) Participants are encouraged to stay overnight at the Briar Rose B&B, and all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch will be provided.

The cost is $200, plus a traditional teaching donation. For those not staying at the Briar Rose, the cost is $150 plus teaching donation. A limited number of scholarships are available – please inquire about this option if the seminar is otherwise difficult for you to afford. Members at the “Supporting Member” level or higher will receive a 10% discount. The teaching donation amount is up to you. (For the teaching donation, please make out a separate check to Christian Dillo.) Participants will be asked to help clean their rooms and change the bedding before they depart on Sunday, as part of our practice – taking care of things.
